Notices and policies

Ads and guiding principles

In my Brunette Gardens days, I was a registered affiliate through Bookshop.org, Awin, Amazon, and others. If you make a purchase using the links in those archive posts, I might earn a tiny commission, at no extra cost to you, but truthfully, the amount earned from these links was so small as to make them not worth the time and effort, so I’ve discontinued the practice. Either way, my writing has always been wholly independent, my views my own.

Most importantly, I do not condone censorship and firmly believe in free-speech principles. No advertiser has ever leveraged influence on my expressions.

AI

I hope this is obvious when you read my work, but I have a strict, no-AI policy for all writing content.

Giveaways

Outside of free review copies of newly published books, I don’t receive anything in exchange for promoting giveaway items.

Cookie policy

Those affiliates might employ cookies to track purchases as part of my agreement with them. A cookie does not personally identify you; rather, it’s a way for companies to verify that you came to their site via the link here.

Copyright

Lisa Brunette LLC owns all content published on this Substack blog and its email subscription list, exclusively.

Guest authors

I sometimes publish the work of guest authors. While most of these people are writers I know, their posts commissioned by me, I have on occasion accepted outside submissions. The best way to begin the process is to first become a member to learn about my obsessions and flag my attention with your astute comments on my posts.
