Flowers, garlic and herbs are the only things we have room for in our small garden. As I’m getting older I feel both the heat and the cold more than ever, but thankfully our home is such that unless it is 38-40c we don’t need to have the air conditioning on. Heating is a but different, we have ours on 19c during the day and 21c at night, but don’t leave it in once retiring for the evening. Lights on only when necessary, and we are fortunate to have solar panels which have made a huge difference to our heating bills, even if the Government aren’t giving us as much back financially. We certainly create far more electricity than we use.
