Wait, Let me see if I get this straight. All you need to do to have a chance at winning the stained glass is be a paid subscriber? And since we are a little tiny itty bitty substack your odds of winning are really good? And if you don't win this you might win the next thing, and so far all the prizes have been awesome?
What a deal! Too bad I can't win (being the husband and all).
I love stained glass. Have you noticed a similar uptick in useful crafts like knitting and sewing? I have. I think many people assessed their lives during the pandemic and are now choosing to return to slower and more fulfilling useful crafts.
Yes, I have, too, and I think you're right on about that. Have you returned to any of these slower, more useful activities? For me, it's mainly centering around gardening and food preservation, but I've also taken classes in tree ID and beeswax crafts.
I'm teaching myself to crochet and I started loom knitting about 8 years ago. I paint (but not well) and enjoy making crafty gifts (my daughters are getting door signs this year for Christmas.) I've done paper arts for years (scrapbooks, cards), but I switched to digital art, mostly because stamps, ink, and ephemera take up so much space. My sewing machine is gathering dust, but I'm tempted to pick it up again.
It's great you have a sewing machine. I was the obnoxious '80s teen who told my mother I didn't need to learn how to sew because I would just buy my clothes at the mall.

LOL, you're a winner every day in my book.
Awwww... shucks... :)
