By Lisa Brunette
As promised, we awarded three Brunette Gardens readers with a one-year free paid subscription each. It’s always fun for me to reach out to winners with the good news, and I wish I had a nickel for every time one of them said to me, “I never win anything!” It seems a lot of us have that experience, and I’m glad to buck the trend in this case.
Here are the winners from our Christmas giveaway:
Sarah Szydelko of Bend, Oregon. Sarah says, “I’m looking forward to reading all of your posts!”
Stephanie Thomas Berry of Brunsville, North Carolina, an artist whose works depict natural flora and fauna. There’s a sample of her art at the top of this post, and here’s another, but I recommend checking out her website as well.
I never did hear from our third winner, and I have no way of knowing if my email was zapped into the spam folder or if she just prefers to remain anonymous. If it’s the former, I apologize, and if it’s the latter, I respect that. At least Substack tells me she’s making use of her free paid subscription.
Congratulations to all! Anthony and I also want to thank those of you who took advantage of the 20 percent off end-of-year sale and became paying subscribers. We appreciate your vote of confidence, truly.
More Giveaways!
We like nothing better than to turn folks onto the books we love, so we’ve got another giveaway planned for next month. This one’s only for paying subscribers, to cover the cost of purchasing and shipping books. To become eligible, maybe you want to take this opportunity to upgrade your subscription?
I’m really excited about the next giveaway, as the book in question is one I consult practically once a week. Seriously, you should see how dog-eared my copy is! It’s changed my life in a number of ways, which I’ll get into in upcoming posts.
Until then, happy garden dreams…
