Back in January, I wrote about navigating autoimmune conditions.
At the very end of that piece, I mentioned investigating a new area for a potential cure for mast-cell activation syndrome, with which I was diagnosed about six years ago:
I’m also looking into neuroplasticity and brain retraining as areas to make lasting changes. Is it possible to rewire your brain to stop triggering an autoimmune response to perfectly safe foods? Or even teach your body to rely on its own natural detoxification systems rather than shifting into fight-or-flight reactions? Now that I have the eating habits and home environment to support a healthy life, perhaps these are the last pieces of the puzzle.
I’m happy to report that neuroplasticity—along with meditation to support it—indeed seems to be the final puzzle piece.
I’ve decreased my symptom severity and frequency since beginning one of these programs in January.
I’m getting better results than anything else I’ve tried, and I’d like to continue.
Moving forward requires making some lasting changes, however, and that means taking a step back from this Substack.
For how long? I’m not sure. But if you’re a paid subscriber, don’t worry: I’ve paused all billing for now.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my hopeful heart for coming with me on this journey.
