In addition to what you said, our gut actually produces 70% of the body's neurotransmitters, so gut health is extremely intertwined with everything. It's the first place anything happens inside the body, and a huge part of our immune system as well.

Thanks so much for adding that--it's a crucial point. I first became aware of the importance of gut health years ago when frustrated with my mother's anorexia and reading that gut health and the mind were connected for that disease. I've since read much more. The gut/brain link is partly why fermented foods are firmly centered in my diet. I also practice a lot of somatic techniques to access and understand the dis-ease that gives rise to disease.

LOL, it's a lot to absorb. I think I watched every free Gupta video on YouTube before signing up. Then I did the free version first before signing up for the paid. The brain retraining is part of the paid access.

That said, I think we have some of this baked into our understanding anyway, with words like "heartsick" and "nerves of steel."
