I think we're the only ones in our neighborhood adding dead leaves to our yard, so cheers! My husband uses a similar phrase, "playing the long game," in regards to human interaction, like losing the argument to keep the relationship, and it describes the goal of sustainable living too.

My mom also used the phrase, "this too shall pass." Which has similar connotations.
We also have to see that “long game” become... shorter.
Anthony uses that, too. It’s a good one!
